Multiple identity providers

The diagram below is intended to illustrate some concepts that you should be able to relate to your own identity provider landscape:

  • Dev / test vs production separation of identity providers
  • Separation of internal vs external user populations
  • Downstream integrations with identity providers managed by 3rd parties (such as partners)

Note

It is not intended to show an exhaustive set of all possible combinations or relationships in which identity providers can be configured.

When deciding about the authentication and identity needs for the sites, content and applications being delivered on HCL Mosaic, it is necessary to understand the existing identity services available, especially if they are of a more complex nature.

Planning for how each Mosaic environment will be integrated to satisfy those needs is an important topic to cover during the onboarding process.
