I’m a Business User

As a business user you want gain insight from visitor traffic to your website or apps

• Understand what Discover can do for you and your organisation
• What use cases can the solution support
• Orientate yourself with with the solution
• Can I see example events and reports?
• What default reports and dashboards can I see?
• Create new reports and dashboards

I’m a Technical or Developer User

As a more technical user you want to help deploy, or integrate the solution within your organisation

• Size your environment with HCL
  • Please contact your HCL representative in-country, they can assist in connecting you with a solution technical specialist who can help
• Get prepared for installation an review the requirements
• Install the solution software
• Create a UIC to capture web traffic
• Deploy the UIC with your website
• Validate traffic is flowing
  • Check the UIC is loaded in the browser
  • Ensure there are no CORs or similar errors in the browser console relating to the UIC javascript file or TargetPage endpoint URL
  • Use the DNCA portal to review:
    • Summary page, review the Listened Packets In value, this will increase as hits are received
    • Statistics page, review the captured before Hit processing value
  • Use the DMS to see if hits are being seen in the pipeline -
• Apply privacy as I have sensitive data (PII/SPII or similar)
• Share data with other solutions

Help I need support

Something went wrong and I need some guidance

• What’s the latest version of the solution I think I need to upgrade?
• I have a product idea or suggestion where can I tell you about it?
• I’m not sure the UIC is being loaded?
• I can’t capture the data I want from the website -
• How can I test data before I deploy my UIC into pre-production or production
