Working with Unica Interact

The following steps provide a guide to configuring HCL Discover with Unica Intercact using to the OOTB integration. Discover shared event based data with Interact to enable a defind website spot to display a call-to-action, typicall this is a marketing offer.

To configure the integration there are several required steps / components, including:

  • Interact Channel Configuration
  • Interact JavaScript files for the web site to display the spot
  • Interact Offers for the use cases
  • Interact HTML templates for the offers
  • Discover Event Bus configuration to Interact
  • Discover JavaScript for web site
  • Discover Events

Interact Channel Configuration

The IC is the Interact Channel name, which is provided by the Interact configuration. The IC is taken from the Interact Configuration name at the top of the window.

The AudienceIDField and AudienceIDType are required audience types, taken from the mapped Unica profile table. Authenticated users would be Indiv_id and the type is numeric.

  1. AudienceIDValue, Discover CEP configuration fieldname. Currently is it set to debug.
  2. AudienceLevel, Discover CEP configuration fieldname. Currently is it set to visitor.
