Deploying the platform
Discover is a sophisticated solution, but getting deployed has never been simpler. The OS, Software and Hardware system requirements are fully documented and easy to understand. Using the comprehensive deployment guide you can read and understand the steps involved in deploying the Discover server components.
Discover is available as an on-premises offering within your data centre, or preferred cloud platform. It is also available as a fully managed hosted offering from HCLNow.

Install order

All installations should be read in conjunction with the release notes provided within the product documentation linked below and within the installation packages. Release notes contain must follow steps required to facilitate features, functions and changes. You will see errors if these are not followed.

The order of Discover installation is typically back to front:
- Back End: The Reporting / Portal server where events are created and reporting provided
- Front End: The DNCA or Packet Forwarder where data is captured / SSL off-loaded, if required
It is possible, and sometimes necessary to install outside this suggested order (e.g. multiple environments production & non-production, resiliency), however the suggested order is a best practice to allow for testing and validation as component deployment progresses.
