Applying ATP overrides

Use the Inventory dashboard to apply ATP overrides to Items on a global or per-channel basis.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you understand your organization's inventory management system and its related procedures before using the Inventory dashboard to upload inventory-related data.
  • Ensure that you have a login provided to you that is assigned the System Administrator role. This role is required to access the Inventory dashboard.
  • Review Working with Available-To-Promise (ATP).

About this task

ATP settings are applied to your inventory during catalog upload (as defined within the Catalog data file (items.csv)).
Restriction:
  • If a particular Item or a particular channel are not ATP-enabled, then that Item will appear with its ATP override setting disabled. Ensure that both the SKU and Channel are ATP-enabled in order to apply overrides.
  • If expected inventory exists for a SKU, ATP cannot be disabled for that particular SKU.

Procedure

To apply ATP overrides to a SKU on a global, or per-Channel basis:
  1. Log in to Commerce Lab.
  2. Select Inventory Manangement.
    The Inventory Dashboard is displayed.
  3. Under the Configuration tab, select Configure SKUs.
The Configure SKUs page is displayed. If a SKU is ATP-enabled, you can set the global SKU override on this page.
  4. Depending on whether you want to set per channel or root channel, select the channel which is in the Channel dropdown.
  5. Apply ATP overrides to each SKU individually.

Results

Your ATP overrides are set. Only SKUs that are expressly enabled are backorderable for each store.
