Inventory tool

Commerce+ offers various Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs). This section explains the Commerce Lab tooling support for the Inventory.

Inventory process flow

The table describes the inventory entities you can manage, followed by a process flow diagram for creating and managing inventory.

Inventory entiry Descriptions
Inventory listing Designed for business users, the Inventory listing provides a comprehensive, high-level dashboard to efficiently track, filter, and stock levels across all channels.
Vendor management Designed for business users, the vendor management simplifies the vendor lifecycle. From this single interface, you can add new suppliers, update details, control activation statuses, and archive records to maintain clean data tracking.
Purchase order The Purchase Order Listing provides business users within the Inventory dashboard a centralized view of all purchase orders.
Receive and organize inventory Streamline your warehouse workflows with the received inventory listing—your definitive record for managing and tracking inbound stock movements and preventing inventory discrepancies.
Configure SKUs Configure inventory settings to track, forecast, and allocate stock to customers from the HCL Commerce+ dashboard.
Configure expected inventory Configure manage and track inventory that is expected for different items along with vendor details, delivery dates to support backorders.
Inventory locations Within Inventory services, users can create, manage, and delete delivery methods for inventory locations.
Inventory upload history Keep your stock levels up to date efficiently by uploading bulk inventory data files directly to HCL Commerce+.

Navigating to the Inventory tool

Commerce Lab lets you perform various functionalities related to the Inventories and Inventory locations while working with the Inventory Dashboard.

Users with the Site Administrator role can call Inventory APIs while working with the Commerce Lab. See Inventory management for more information.

  1. Log in to Commerce Lab
  2. Enter your login credentials for the Commerce Lab and sign in.
  3. In the Commerce Lab, navigate to Business Tools > Inventory.
