Managing expected Inventory
Use the Configure Expected Inventory option on the Inventory dashboard to add or update expected Inventory for use with ATP. With this data, end-customers can observe the expected Inventory changes within their shopping flow and are enabled to place orders for future fulfillment.
Before you begin
- Ensure that you understand your organization's inventory management system and its related procedures before using the Inventory dashboard to upload inventory-related data.
- Ensure that you have a login provided to you that is assigned a role with System Administrator privileges. This role is required to access the Inventory Management.
- Review Working with Available-To-Promise (ATP).
Procedure
To input or update expected Inventory:
- Log in to Commerce Lab.

The Inventory Dashboard is displayed.

Under the Configuration tab, select Configure
Expected Inventory.
The Configure Expected Inventory page is displayed. If a item is ATP-enabled, you can set add expected Inventory.

Apply your changes to the expected Inventory.
Expected Inventory task Instruction Add new expected Inventory entry To create a new expected Inventory entry: - Select Add Expected Inventory. A prompt
is displayed. Enter the required details.Note: Ensure that the item is ATP-enabled, and that there are no overrides preventing ATP usage at the selected store.
- Select Submit for Approval.
Note: Expected inventory creation is enabled for this workflow and is auto-approved.Add recurring expected Inventory Configure a schedule to automate the tracking of recurring stock arrivals in HCL Commerce+. - Navigate to the Configure Expected Inventory page.
- Select the arrow next to Add Expected Inventory, and then select Add Recurring Expected Inventory.
- The wizard requires you to complete three distinct steps to
finalize your schedule:
- Define the parameters for the incoming stock in the
Expected Inventory wizard:
- Select the organization, the inventory location, and the channel.
- Use the search item bar to locate and select the specific stock keeping unit (SKU) or product name.
- Specify the expected quantity to be added at each interval, and then select Next.
- Define the frequency and duration of the arrivals
inRecurring Settings:
- Select the cycle interval, such as Weekly, Semi-Monthly, or Monthly.
- Enter the start date and the end date for the schedule series.
- Select the specific days of the week for arrivals.
- Review the text in the Live Summary field to verify the schedule logic, and then select Preview.
- Validate and finalize the schedule in
Preview:
- Review the summary cards to verify the organization, channel, location, and item details.
- Check the calendar widget to confirm the calculated delivery event dates.
- Select Finish.
- Define the parameters for the incoming stock in the
Expected Inventory wizard:
- Select Add Expected Inventory. A prompt
is displayed. Enter the required details.
