Commerce+ Transaction Server allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.

Inventory locations
Inventory Locations are the foundational elements of your inventory infrastructure. They represent locations where inventory is stored, managed, fulfilled, or transacted.
Listing Inventory Locations
The Inventory Location (IL) listing page enables business users of the Inventory dashboard to view and aid in the management of their Inventory Locations at a high level.

  - Commerce Lab
    Accessible through a web-based interface, Commerce Lab enables users to manage all key aspects of their commerce operations, including catalogs, marketing, pricing, users, stores, customers, workspaces, sellers, and administrative functions—empowering teams with greater flexibility and control.
  - Business Tools
    Commerce+ Transaction Server allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.
    - Search Tool
      The Search tool is accessible from the Commerce Lab. It enables several functionalities related to search, such as Search Term Associations, Search Analytics, Search Templates, and so on. It allows the admin to preview the search terms displayed on the storefront and delivers customized search results when customers search the storefront. Search analytics helps customers to understand the patterns and items users are searching.
    - Catalog Filter and Pricing tool
      Use the Catalog Filter and Pricing tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage catalog filters, price lists, and price rules. Sellers, Sales Managers, and Account Representatives can use the tool's flexible features to implement catalog filtering and pricing strategies that meet the site's business needs over time.
    - Catalogs tool overview
      Use the Catalogs tool in the Commerce Lab to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.

      Use the Marketing tool in the Commerce Lab to create and manage marketing campaigns and other store content, excluding catalog content. You can use the extensive precision marketing features in the tool to deliver targeted marketing messages to customers.

        Commerce+ Transaction Server allows you to view the list of Inventory Locations (ILs) through the Commerce Lab tools.
        Inventory thresholds
        The HCL Commerce+ Transaction Server enables inventory thresholds to be set and modified by business users. Thresholds are used to monitor when there are too many or too few of a specific SKU at a specific Inventory Location. Use threshold settings in order to effectively monitor and react to changing inventory conditions.
        Managing Inventory data uploads
        You can manage your Commerce+ Transaction Server Inventory data via file upload.
        Exporting Inventory data in bulk
        This document defines the requirements for a bulk inventory export capability to support initial data ingestion for the Search and Product Display platform. The goal is to allow downstream systems to programmatically request and receive a complete snapshot of inventory data in CSV format, enabling accurate indexing and display on PLP (Product Listing Page) and PDP (Product Detail Page).

      Customer Management tools are used to manage business accounts and catalogs for Commerce Lab.

    - Workspace Management tool
      The Workspace Management tool is a graphical user interface tool that is used to manage workspaces and workspace-related activities. It provides a single view across all workspaces and all tasks in the workspaces where managers can see how work is progressing.
  - Analytics Tool
    Commerce Lab has the Analytics tool listed in the hamburger menu.
- Administering
  The site administrator performs the tasks needed to support day to day operations of the Commerce+ Transaction Server site.
- Extending
  Using Commerce+ Transaction Server's xC programming model, you can use HCL-provided extension points to extend existing Commerce logic. You can implement these extensions with the xC Customization toolkit provided by HCL. Commerce+ also provides Packaged Business Capability integrations that extend the product's reach and functionality.

Listing Inventory Locations

The Inventory Location (IL) listing page is accessed:

On the left navigation menu, select Business tools > Inventory > Inventory Locations.
On Inventory dashboard, select Inventory Location.

The Inventory Location (IL) listing page enables business users of the Inventory dashboard to view and aid in the management of their Inventory Locations at a high level.

Users can search and filter, archive and select each Inventory Location to get a more detailed description of each Inventory Location, its type, its delivery modes, and its business contact.

Filters locations by an Inventory Location (IL) code or name.

Filters

Opens a contextual menu to narrow down the displayed entries based on specific location attributes.

Inventory Location columns

Column Name	Description
IL Code	The unique identifier for Inventory Location. This value includes a six-character alphanumeric code that identifies Inventory Location, as well as the Inventory Location name. The value must be unique and not used by any existing Inventory Location.
Address	The physical business address of Inventory Location.
Contact	The name and email address of the Inventory Location contact. A contact must be associated with each Inventory Location.
IL Type	The category of Inventory Location. Examples include Online Store, Physical Store, and Warehouse. These values are logical categories that aid in filtering Inventory Locations. New IL Type values can be added to describe unique use cases.
Status	An indicator of whether Inventory Location is active or inactive. Inactive Inventory Locations are removed from Store Locator on the storefront and appear as inactive within SKU details on Inventory Listing Dashboard.
Actions	Tools for managing Inventory Locations. The Edit icon modifies the business details, business contact, and delivery method of Inventory Location. The Delete icon permanently deletes Inventory Location.
