Approving a seller registration request

Management Center allows Marketplace Operators and Site Administrators to approve seller registration requests created from the Marketplace store.

Procedure

  1. Open Management Center Tools.
  2. From the hamburger menu, select the Marketplace tool. Within the tool, there is a Sellers tab, and the Approvals tab (if you have logged in as Marketplace Operators or Site Administrators).
    Note: In the case of multiple marketplaces, the Marketplaces tab is also displayed along with the sellers and approvals tab.
  3. HCL Commerce Version 9.1.16.0 or later Open Management Center tools and from the left navigation menu, click Business tools > Marketplace > Approval - Seller Registration.
  4. Select Approvals > Seller Registrations. The Marketplace Seller Registrations page opens. All the Pending Approval requests are displayed on the landing page by default.
  5. To approve the request, use one of the following methods:
    • From the Actions menu, click on the Approve button. A Confirm Approval window is displayed..
      • Enable the toggle button to add a comment.
      • Click Approve Registration. The seller is registered successfully. The email is sent to the email ID you entered while creating a seller registration request.
    • From the Seller column, click on the seller name. The seller information page opens. There are three steps shown on this page.
      • You can directly click on the Approve button at the top right column of the page, or click on the Save and Approve Registration button from the Seller Categories field.
        • A Confirm Approval window is displayed on the screen.
        • Enable the toggle button to add a comment.
        • Click Approve Registration. The seller is registered. An email is sent to the email ID you entered while creating a seller registration request.
      • You can click on the Edit Registration button to update the details entered by the seller before approving the registration request.
        • If you click on the Edit Registration button to update the existing details, two more fields are added on this page. After updating the existing seller information, you can click on the Save and Approve Registration button from the Seller Categories field.
        • A Confirm Approval window is displayed on the screen.
        • Enable the toggle button to add a comment.
        • Click Approve Registration. The seller is registered. An email is sent to the email ID you entered while creating a seller registration request.
      Note: You cannot update the seller name and login id details once the registration request is approved.
  6. Click the Refresh icon to update the information displayed on the page.
  7. Once the request is approved, the seller is registered for the Marketplace and the same seller is also listed on the seller dashboard page. A newly registered seller is always in a Deactivate state. See Activating a seller for more information.
