Presentation layer
WebSphere Commerce uses Java Server Pages (JSP) to implement the view layer of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. The view layer is in charge of retrieving data from the database through the use of data beans and formatting it to meet the display requirements. The view layers determines whether the request is sent to a browser or streamed out as XML. JSP files present a clean separation between data content and presentation.

The purpose of this section is to explain how to delete a question or answer.

About this task

To remove a question or answer from the question and answer tree:

Edit the XML input file
Locate the <question> or <answer> element that you want to remove.
Highlight and delete the entire element, including all of the elements that it contains.
Save the XML file.
Update the production server by importing the updated XML file.

Note: You cannot delete the first question. To remove it, you must delete the metaphor.
