Presentation layer
WebSphere Commerce uses Java Server Pages (JSP) to implement the view layer of the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. The view layer is in charge of retrieving data from the database through the use of data beans and formatting it to meet the display requirements. The view layers determines whether the request is sent to a browser or streamed out as XML. JSP files present a clean separation between data content and presentation.

Procedure

Edit the XML input file
Find the <opVal> element corresponding to the constraint that you want to change. The opVal element will be inside a <constraint> element.
Inside the <opVal> element, set the language setting.
Inside the <opVal> element, insert an <opValue> element. Between the start and end tags for the element, the value for the feature that you want the constraint based on. This is the value that would be found in the <columnName> element specified for the parent <constraint> element.
Save the XML file.
Update the production server by importing the updated XML file.
