You can create a custom activity template by
selecting an existing web or dialog activity and then turning a copy
of the activity into a template; you can modify the copy as required
for the template. You can then create new activities that are based
on the template, making any required changes, additions, or deletions
to the new activity.
Dialog
activities are available only in the Professional and Enterprise editions
of WebSphere Commerce.
Before you begin
The web or dialog activity that you want to base the template
on must exist.
Procedure
- Open the Marketing tool.
- In the explorer view, click the Activities folder.
The Activities - List page displays.
- Right-click the activity that you want to copy to use as
a template; then click Create new template from activity.
The system creates a copy of the activity with identical
properties; the only difference is that the name starts with Copy
of.
- In the properties editor, complete the following properties
for the template:

template name cannot be the same as the name of any activity. |

- Make any additional changes to the elements and their properties
that you want saved in the template.
- Click
Save to save
the template, or click Close to save the template
and close the page.The custom activity template
is added to the folder that contains Custom Templates that you can
select when creating an activity. The custom activity template is
also added to the Activity Templates folder in the explorer view.
