You can assign different layouts to specific
catalog entry
pages such as product, bundle, kit, SKU, and dynamic kit pages. You
can also schedule the layouts for each page. For example, for Halloween
you might want to pre-schedule the layout to use for a particular
product page.
Procedure
- Open the Page Layout tool.
-
Find the catalog entry page
you want to change the layout for, and open the page to display
the properties view.
The Default Page Layout information
contains the layout the catalog entry page defaults to.
- In the Page
Layout section, assign the layout you want to use for
the particular catalog entry page.
In the case of an Extended
Site, two Page Layout Assignment lists are
displayed; one for the Storefront Asset store, and the other for the
Extended Site store.
- Browse the Page Layout folder for
available page layouts.
- In the Page
layout assignments table, drag and drop the page layout
you want to assign to the page.
- Optional: Specify
the start and end dates.
Note: - If you do not specify
the start date, the page layout takes effect
immediately.
- If you do not specify the end date, the page
layout is used in
the storefront until another layout assignment is made.
- Optional:
Specify
the priority of the page layout assignment.
The priority
number determines which page layout assignment to use on the storefront
when conflicts arise, such as when the schedules overlap for two different
page layout assignments. The page layout assignment with the highest
priority is used on the storefront. When multiple conflicting page
layout assignments have the same priority, one is randomly selected.
Specify a number from 0 (lowest priority) to 1000 (highest priority).
- Click Save; then
click
Close.
