You can add defining attributes that are not
contained within the Management Center attribute dictionary to catalog
entries. You cannot use the Management Center attribute dictionary
to manage attributes that are created within a catalog entry.
Procedure
- Open the Catalogs tool.
- Find the catalog entry that
you want to add a defining attribute to.
- In the Search Results list view, right-click the catalog
entry; then click Open to open the properties
view for the catalog entry.
- Click the Defining attributes tab.
All of the defining attributes that are currently contained
in the selected catalog entry are listed in the Defining
Attributes table.
- Click to
open the properties view and specify information for the new defining
attribute.
- In the General Attribute Information section:

- In the Attribute Values section,
click to add a defining attribute value to the new
attribute.
Note: The Attribute Values section
is displayed only after you select the data type from the Type list
in the General Attribute Information section.
