Using WebSphere Commerce
Accelerator, you can
assign a price rule to base contracts and customer contracts in the
B2B direct business model, including extended sites. After you assign
the price rule to the contract, customers shopping under the contract
are entitled to prices set by the price rule.
Before you begin
- To learn
more about assigning price rules to contracts for various
business models, read Price rule assignment and contracts.
- The contract that you want to assign the price rule to must already
exist in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator. To create a new contract,
see Creating contracts.
About this task
If you are updating a contract that contains
existing pricing
terms set using the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator catalog filter,
then the price rule you assign will override those terms. In other
words, the price adjustments set in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator
catalog filter will no longer affect the contract. Consider removing
the price adjustments set in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator catalog
filter to avoid confusion, even though this is not mandatory.
Procedure
- Open the
WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, and select the store that contains
the target contract.
- Click .
- Select the check box to the
left of the business account
that has the contract you want to assign the price rule to, and then
click Contracts.
- Select
the check box to the left of the target contract,
and then click Update Extended TC.
- Click the Price Rule tab.
- In the Property Value column, select
the price rule to assign to the contract.
- Click Save.
Results
The price rule is now assigned to the contract.
You can log
on to the store as a customer entitled to the contract and check that
the prices on the storefront are set according to price rule you assigned.
