Catalog Filter

HCL Commerce allows you to create the catalog filter through the Management Center. The buyer contracts dashboard page has all the catalog filters listed. You can search, view, create, edit, delete, or create the duplicate copy of the catalog filter. You can create and edit the catalog filter while creating or editing the marketplace seller contracts.

The catalog can have one of the following state:
  • Included (default) - green check mark
  • Excluded – Red X
A catalog has different categories included. All the categories have one of the following states:
  • Explicitly included – green check mark
  • Implicitly included (parent is included) - grey check mark
  • Explicitly excluded – red X
  • Implicitly excluded (parent is excluded) - grey X

The explicitly included and explicitly excluded categories will be displayed as chips and can be removed by clicking the x on the chip. You can enter a search string to search for a category. The category tree will be filtered to only include matching categories. This does not affect the state of the catalog filter.

Included catalog entries will have a Green check mark. Excluded catalog entries will have a Red check mark. Selecting or deselecting a catalog entry will explicitly include or exclude the selected catalog entry.
  • The Includes tab displays the list of explicitly included catalog entries.
  • The Excludes tab displays the list of explicitly excluded catalog entries.

You can search for catalog entries in the Includes and Excludes tab. You can remove catalog entries from the Includes and Excludes list returning them to their implicit state.

Category selection in the Management Center

Important: The Category Selection feature in the Management Center is a tool for sellers to designate what master categories their products are uploaded to. This feature is separate from catalog filtering that end-users might encounter when viewing products. Categories are not hidden or restricted from display, even if a seller does not currently have products listed within them.
