IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is a suite of tools to support store management, merchandising, and marketing tasks for business users (Sellers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Catalog Managers, and others).
Catalogs tool
Use the Catalogs tool in Management Center to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.
Working with search term associations
The Product Manager is responsible for creating and managing search term associations. Search term associations include synonyms and search term replacements, and linking search terms with landing pages.
Changing search term associations
You can change existing synonyms or replacement terms for searches performed in your store. Changing your existing search term associations can help you maintain and update synonyms and replacements, keeping consistent and current targeted search results for your store.

You can change existing synonyms or replacement terms for searches performed in your store. Changing your existing search term associations can help you maintain and update synonyms and replacements, keeping consistent and current targeted search results for your store.

Procedure

Open the Catalogs tool.
From the explorer tree, select Search Term Associations.
Change your search term associations.
- To change synonyms:
  1. Click the Synonyms tab. The synonym list is displayed.
  2. Click the synonyms row that you want to change.
  3. Change the synonyms in the row, according to the following specification:
    
    Synonyms
    The search term synonyms, separated by a comma.
- To change replacement terms:
  1. Click the Replacements tab. The replacements list is displayed.
  2. Click the replacements row that you want to change.
  3. Change the replacement terms in the row, according to the following specification:
    Search Term
    The submitted search term.
    Replacement Terms
    The terms that replace the submitted search term, separated by a comma.
Click Save; then click Close.
