You
can create versions of SKUs. For example,
before making any changes to a SKU for an event, you might want to
create a version. After the event is over, you can restore the created
version.When you create a version, the version is based
on the latest changes in the SKU. If you modify the SKU, the version
remains unchanged.
Before you begin
Review the following page for a list of which parts of the
SKU are saved when a version is created: Working with SKU versions.
Procedure
- Open the Catalogs tool.
- Find the SKU you want
to create
versions for.
- On the list view or explorer
tree, right-click the SKU,
and click Open. In the Versions tab,
click the Create Version icon . Alternately, you can select the SKU, then
click .
You can create versions for multiple SKUs
at once:
- From the explorer tree, right-click on the parent
product or parent
category, and select Show SKUs List or Show
Catalog Entries respectively.
- In the SKUs List
view or Catalog Entries List view, select the
SKUs you want to create versions for, then click ; press control and click to select multiple products.
- In the Create Version window, enter
the version name and
description of the version; click Create.
Note: When you create versions for multiple SKUs at once, the
versions created all use the same version name and description as
specified.
