Automatic Change Raise

This topic explains how to automatically raise a change request during the patching process.

About this task

This task provides instructions for automatically raising a change request as part of the patching process. Note that it is essential to configure the schedule patching prior to creating the change, as the selected patches and configuration items (CIs) will only be reflected if the schedule patching is already in place.

Procedure

  1. All > Search > Scheduled Jobs, and click it.

  2. Filter the Name field as Patch Policy Schedule and the Application field as Patch WorkBench, and then click Patch Policy Schedule.

  3. Set the Run option to On Demand to trigger immediate change creation, or choose
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly

    to schedule automatic change creation. Then click Execute Now.

  4. After performing the above step with the Run option set to On Demand, a change has been successfully created as shown in the image below.
