Using ClearCase® dynamic views

You can use ClearCase® dynamic views in the ClearTeam® Explorer to access and manage resources under ClearCase® source control.

Before you begin

You must have the native ClearCase® client installed on your machine, in addition to the ClearTeam® Explorer.

About this task

You can use the ClearCase® dynamic views to perform operations on resources under ClearCase® source control.

Procedure

To use a ClearCase® dynamic view in the ClearTeam® Explorer:
  1. In the ClearTeam Navigator, create a new view by selecting ClearCase -> Create View or join a ClearCase® UCM project by selecting ClearCase -> Join Project.
  2. If you are creating a new view, specify the View Type as Dynamic on the Create a ClearCase view page. If you are joining a ClearCase® UCM project, in the Join Project wizard, specify the View Type as Web on the Set up a ClearCase UCM development environment page.
  3. Finish the process of creating a new ClearCase® view or joining a ClearCase® UCM project.

Results

The new ClearCase® dynamic view you created or the UCM project you joined appears in the ClearTeam Navigator. Select the view or UCM project. You can perform ClearCase® operations on the resources in the ClearTeam Navigator view and theClearTeam Details view.
