With the ClearTeam® Explorer, developers can access DevOps Code ClearCase from a variety of network connections, including broadband (WAN) and traditional local area networks (LANs). The ClearTeam Explorer also supports WAN access to Rational® ClearQuest® user databases.

It automates the processes of finding the versions that require a merge, starting a merge, and tracking the progress of a merge. It allows you to suspend and resume merges as needed.

      Use the ClearCase® View Configuration view to edit the version selection rules and load rules for a view.

      The DevOps Code ClearCase® properties view displays properties of elements, versions, VOBs, and ClearCase views. Some properties of elements, versions, and VOBs can be modified by a user with adequate privileges.

      The Pending Changes view enables you to preview and accept all changes to your view, to resolve conflicts, and to synchronize changes in both the Base ClearCase® and UCM environments.

      The Compare/Merge view displays contributor and/or output files for either compare operations or merge operations, depending on the context in which the view was accessed.

Team support for the ClearTeam® Explorer interface

The ClearTeam® Explorer provides graphical user interfaces to ClearCase® tools.

The ClearTeam® Explorer supports graphical user interfaces that allow you to:

Create and configure ClearCase® views on your computer.
Explore the contents of local ClearCase® views and remote repositories.
Add resources to source control.
Modify resources that are under source control.
Share your work with other team members.

The ClearTeam® Explorer includes the ClearCase® Perspective (a collection of viewers that support functions like browsing, searching, sorting, and selecting), wizards and dialog boxes that support various ClearCase® operations, and toolbars that provide access to the wizards and dialog boxes.

Context-sensitive Help

Every view and dialog box in the ClearTeam Explorer provides context-sensitive Help. To get Help for the ClearTeam Explorer interface that has the current focus, press the platform-specific help key (such as F1 on Windows).
