    DevOps Code ClearCase® provides configuration management services that make it easy for development teams to work with resources in a shared repository. With the ClearTeam® Explorer, developers can access DevOps Code ClearCase from a variety of network connections, including broadband (WAN) and traditional local area networks (LANs). The ClearTeam Explorer also supports WAN access to Rational® ClearQuest® user databases.

      In some circumstances, you might want to disconnect from a CCRC WAN server or from a ClearQuest® user database.

      You can remove a server from the ClearTeam Navigator if you no longer want it to appear in the ClearTeam Navigator.

      Create a ClearCase® view to access resources in ClearCase repositories.
    - Mounting VOBs
      Mount (or activate) VOBs to access source files from a view.
    - Unmounting VOBs
      When using dynamic views, you may want to unmount (or deactivate) a VOB.
    - Starting Dynamic views
      Start an existing Dynamic view to access source files.

      You can deactivate a Dynamic view by ending it.

Setting ClearTeam® Explorer preferences

Before you begin working with the IBM® ClearTeam® Explorer, review and, if necessary, change the application's default preferences.

About this task

With preference pages you can adjust the behavior and appearance of the ClearTeam® Explorer. Both the ClearTeam® Explorer and the ClearTeam® Explorer for Eclipse support a ClearCase® preferences page. The ClearTeam® Explorer for Eclipse provides additional options to specify preferences specific to the Eclipse workbench.

Procedure

To change the ClearTeam® Explorer preferences, select Preferences from the Window menu to bring up the Preferences dialog box.

If you are using the ClearTeam® Explorer for Eclipse, expand the Team node and select ClearTeam® Explorer.
If you are using the ClearTeam® Explorer, select ClearTeam® Explorer.
