  This guide explains how to install, configure, maintain, and use the IVR v.5 service. It also summarizes the full workflow for IVR v.5, from installing the IVR Retriever to remediating vulnerabilities from the BigFix UI.

    IVR v.5 connects vulnerability detection to remediation. It retrieves vulnerability findings from your scanner, matches them with BigFix Fixlets and devices, and lets you deploy the fix from the same screen where you review the finding. You do all of this in the BigFix UI.

IVR 5.0.0.0

IVR 5.0.0.0 is the first release of IVR on the BigFix UI. It includes:

Integrated Vulnerability Remediation in the BigFix UI, under Resolve in the left navigation pane.
Setup with BFUI.exe --configure-ivr and the configuration wizard in Administration > Application Configuration.
An IVR schema in the BigFix UI database.
Access control through BigFix UI roles.
The Device view, grid search, and the Last Automation Run and Next Expected Automation Run indicators.
A Vulnerabilities tab in Device Explorer.
