BigFix Integrated Vulnerability Remediation (IVR) v.5

This guide explains how to install, configure, maintain, and use the IVR v.5 service. It also summarizes the full workflow for IVR v.5, from installing the IVR Retriever to remediating vulnerabilities from the BigFix UI.

Who should read which sections: BigFix administrators who install, set up, and maintain IVR read System requirements through Managing the IVR configuration, and Configuration settings for IVR on-prem through Troubleshooting (configuration settings, logs, and troubleshooting). Users whose role includes IVR and who review and remediate vulnerabilities read IVR v.5 on BFUI.

Note:
In IVR v.5, IVR stands for Integrated Vulnerability Remediation. In IVR v.4, IVR stands for Insights for Vulnerability Remediation. The acronym is the same, but the two versions have separate documentation. If you run IVR v.4 with the BigFix WebUI, use the IVR v.4 documentation instead. See BigFix Insights for Vulnerability Remediation (IVR) v.4.

For the IVR summary page in the BigFix UI User's Guide, including entitlement, permissions, and prerequisites, see Integrated Vulnerability Remediation.
