Deployment keys
Deployment keys are generated after you create a deployment. Each deployment has a unique deployment key.
Replacing deployment key
You can replace the current deployment key with a new one for security reasons or if there is a change in the deployment environment.

My HCLSoftware - an overview
The My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal is the online interface used to manage license of your HCLSoftware products. Through MHS, you can seamlessly manage downloads, subscriptions, and deployments, making it simpler to access and manage the licensing of your HCLSoftware products.

The Deployments tab allows you to create and manage your deployments.
Deployment keys
Deployment keys are generated after you create a deployment. Each deployment has a unique deployment key.
- Creating and copying deployment key
  You create a deployment key, copy it, and share it for a secured software installation.
- Replacing deployment key
  You can replace the current deployment key with a new one for security reasons or if there is a change in the deployment environment.
- Adding multiple deployment keys
  You can add multiple deployment keys to manage and secure different deployments across various devices or systems. Adding multiple deployment keys help organizations with security and better control over various software installations or configurations.
Assigning licenses
To assign license to your teams, you must first allocate the features the teams need and then activate the license server.
License server activation
By using the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal, you manage the activation of license servers within a deployment.

Replacing deployment key

You can replace the current deployment key with a new one for security reasons or if there is a change in the deployment environment.

Before you begin

You must have created a deployment key. See Creating and copying deployment key.

About this task

The replacement of the deployment key is useful if the key needs to be updated to ensure continued access and proper management of the software.

Procedure

Select the Replace Deployment Key option.
The Replace Deployment Key window is displayed.
Click on the Replace option.
The New Deployment Key window is displayed.
Copy the key by clicking the Copy icon.
The deployment key is copied to your clipboard.

Note: This deployment key is unique to your deployment and cannot be retrieved after the window is closed. If you lose the key, you must create a new key, as the current key becomes invalid.
Use the new deployment key in your software installation.

Results

The deployment key is replaced in your device.
