Deployment keys are generated after you create a deployment. Each deployment has a unique deployment key.

My HCLSoftware - an overview
The My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal is the online interface used to manage license of your HCLSoftware products. Through MHS, you can seamlessly manage downloads, subscriptions, and deployments, making it simpler to access and manage the licensing of your HCLSoftware products.
Deployments
The Deployments tab allows you to create and manage your deployments.
Deployment keys
Deployment keys are generated after you create a deployment. Each deployment has a unique deployment key.
- Creating and copying deployment key
  You create a deployment key, copy it, and share it for a secured software installation.
- Replacing deployment key
  You can replace the current deployment key with a new one for security reasons or if there is a change in the deployment environment.
- Adding multiple deployment keys
  You can add multiple deployment keys to manage and secure different deployments across various devices or systems. Adding multiple deployment keys help organizations with security and better control over various software installations or configurations.
Assigning licenses
To assign license to your teams, you must first allocate the features the teams need and then activate the license server.
License server activation
By using the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal, you manage the activation of license servers within a deployment.

Creating and copying deployment key

You create a deployment key, copy it, and share it for a secured software installation.

Before you begin

You must have created a deployment. See Creating deployments.

Procedure

Click the Deployments tab.
Identify the deployment you want to update.
Click the Create Deployment Key option from the deployment menu.
The New Deployment Key window displays the new deployment key.
Copy the key by clicking the Copy icon and store it securely.

Note: The deployment key is unique and cannot be retrieved after the New Deployment Key window is closed.

Results

The deployment key is created and stored at a location.

Note: After the deployment key is created, the Create Deployment Key option in the deployment menu changes to Replace Deployment Key. You can use the Replace Deployment Key option to replace the existing key. See Replacing deployment key.
