Mind Map Toolbar Reference
The Mind Map toolbar provides essential controls for navigating, filtering, and exporting the interactive customer activity visualization.
Toolbar Controls and Functions
The following table describes the functionality of each tool located in the Mind Map interface:
| Control Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Merge Channels | A toggle switch that combines identical activities occurring across different data sources (e.g., Web and Mobile) into a single unified node to reduce visual clutter. |
| Auto Layout | Automatically reorganizes all expanded nodes into a structured, balanced hierarchy to prevent overlapping and improve readability. |
| Download (JSON) | Exports the current hierarchical activity structure into a JSON file. This file contains the raw metadata for every node currently displayed on the map. |
| Reset View | Restores the Mind Map to its default center position and original zoom level. Use this if the canvas has been moved significantly or if nodes are no longer visible. |
| Fit to Screen | Automatically scales the entire mind map hierarchy so that all expanded nodes are visible within the current browser window dimensions. |
| Zoom In / Zoom Out | Increases or decreases the magnification of the canvas. This is useful for viewing individual activity nodes in detail or capturing a high-level overview of a multi-month journey. |
Canvas Interaction Tips
- Pan: Click and hold any empty area of the canvas to drag and move the map.
- Node Movement: Individual nodes can be clicked and dragged to customize the visual flow without affecting the underlying data.
- Expansion: Clicking the "+" or "-" icons on a node expands or collapses its sub-levels (e.g., expanding a Month to see Weeks).
