Activity Details
The Activity section provides a detailed chronological log of user events, engagement actions, and technical metadata captured within a specified timeframe.
The Activity log is a diagnostic and analytical tool used to track individual customer journeys. It captures granular data from various sources, including website visits, app interactions, and responses to marketing campaigns. This data helps analysts understand user intent and troubleshoot technical issues related to event triggering.
Types of Logged Events
The system records two primary categories of activity:
- User Events: Standard interactions such as page visits, logins, form subscriptions, and product views. Each event includes the exact timestamp and the source data pipeline.
- Campaign Events: Automated responses across channels like Web Push, App Push, SMS, and WhatsApp. These include status updates such as "Delivered," "Opened," or "Clicked."
Event Metadata and Technical Details
Expanding an activity record reveals deep-dive technical information categorized into the following groups:
- Technology
- Displays the device type, OS version, browser type, and SDK version used when the action was performed.
- Event Properties
- Contains custom properties associated with the event, such as the specific Page Title, URL, and marketing UTM parameters.
- Campaign Attributes
- For campaign-related events, this group includes the Engagement ID, Segment ID, Journey ID, and Message ID.
Time-Based Filtering
To manage large datasets, activities can be filtered using predefined time ranges, such as Today, Yesterday, or intervals ranging from Last 7 days to Last 365 days. Custom date ranges are also supported to isolate specific interaction periods.
