Uploading files
Procedure
- On the option line of the TSO Client Main Menu, type 4.
- On the left side of the Dataset Action panel, under DSLIST, type s beside one or more of the data sets in the list to select a data set.
- At the left side of the View Files List panel,
under ClearCase® file name,
do one of the following actions:
- Type u next to the ClearCase file name. The file is uploaded immediately.
- Type s next to the file name and press Enter. The File Actions panel displays. Type u on the option line, press Enter, and press PF3 END to return to the View Files List panel.
The In PDS field indicates that the data set is uploaded.Attention: When ENABLE_CHECKCOUPD TRUE is specified in the profile, uploading files with a status of CHECK OUT is forbidden.Note: When file names (not including file type extension) are greater than 8 characters long, the first 8 characters must be unique. Otherwise, they will be overlaid when uploaded into the same copy area PDS. This requirement is due to the MVS™ 8-character restriction for member names. Likewise, because of the ambiguity, the download of the member might not update the proper file.
