Using the ClearCase® Repository Access Manager
ClearCase® Repository Access Manager (CCRAM) provides a seamless interface that enables those who use IBM® Rational® Developer for System z® to access assets stored in ClearCase®.
With CCRAM users can perform checkout, checkin, and upload operations; they can also perform other ClearCase® source management functions from Rational® Developer for System z®.
The Common Access Repository Manager (CARMA) is a framework that provides an interface to z/OS-based Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems. The CARMA architecture channels requests from the client to Repository Access Managers (RAMs), which provide the communication to various SCMs. CCRAM is a bridge between CARMA and other source control libraries.
The TSO Client API is a REXX™ based library that provides a programmatic interface to the DevOps Code ClearCase® Command Line Interface (CLI). By using the TSO Client API, users can create a customized toolbox to access ClearCase® functions (such as check in, checkout, upload and download) from the DevOps Code ClearCase® server. The integration of CARMA and TSO Client REXX™ API provides a seamless interface for Rational® Developer for System z® developers to access ClearCase®. Rational® Developer for System z® developers can view and create ClearCase® artifacts, perform checkout and checkin operations, and perform other ClearCase® source management functions from Rational® Developer for System z®.
Before using CCRAM, you need to set up your client environment.
