Loading resources individually

Use the Load Resource dialog box to load selected resources into a ClearCase® view.

Before you begin

Use the Load Resources dialog box to load resources into a ClearCase Web view, automatic view, or snapshot view.

About this task

In addition to using the ClearCase View Configuration view to create load rules, you can also use the Load Resources dialog box to select individual resources to load into the view.

Procedure

  1. In the ClearTeam Navigator or ClearTeam Details view, select a resource to load.
  2. From the context menu, select Load Resource to open the Load Resources dialog box.
  3. Confirm your selections in the Load resources dialog box and then click OK.

Results

The view's load rules are modified to include the selected resources and the resources are loaded into the view.

When you load or update a view, the ClearTeam® Explorer contacts the CCRC WAN server (in the case of an automatic view or web view) or the VOB server (in the case of a snapshot view) and requests a version of each element in each load rule's scope. The versions requested are determined by the view's config spec. The time required to load a view depends on the number and size of resources that must be loaded, and on the speed of your connection to the server.
