- Add task associations:
- chtask [ -view view-tag ] -add_task task-selector,... pname ...
- Remove task associations:
- chtask [ -view view-tag ] -remove_task task-selector,... pname ...
- Replace task associations:
- chtask [ -view view-tag ] -remove_task task-selector,... -add_task task-selector,...] pname ...
Description
The chtask command changes the tasks that are associated with a version (base ClearCase).
Restrictions
None.
Options and arguments
- -view view-tag
- Specifies the view that selects the version for which task associations are to be changed. If no view is set, this option is required; otherwise the default is the current view.
- -remove_task task-selector,...
- Specifies the tasks that are to be disassociated from a version.
- -add_task task-selector,...
- Specifies the tasks that are to be associated with a version.
- task-selector,...
- A task selector of the form, task-id@provider_name.
- pname,...
- Path to the version for which task associations are to be changed.
Examples
The UNIX system and Linux examples in this section are written for use in csh. If you use another shell, you might need to use different quoting and escaping conventions.
The Windows examples that include wildcards or quoting are written for use in cleartool interactive mode. If you use cleartool single-command mode, you might need to change the wildcards and quoting to make your command interpreter process the command appropriately.
In cleartool single-command mode, cmd-context represents the UNIX system and Linux shells or Windows command interpreter prompt, followed by the cleartool command. In cleartool interactive mode, cmd-context represents the interactive cleartool prompt.
- Replace task 1234 with task 5678 on the version of test.c that
is selected by the current view.
