Business Tools
Commerce+ allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.
Customer Management
Customer Management tools are used to manage business accounts and catalogs for Commerce Lab.
Accounts and Catalog
Managing a business account and catalog involves tasks that create and modify business accounts and catalogs. The various tasks that are involved in managing a business account and catalogs are performed by different roles.
Contracts
Contracts enable a customer organization or a customer group to purchase products from a store at a specified price for a specified time under specific conditions.
Managing contracts
Managing a contract involves tasks that take the contract from creation to the end of the contract's lifecycle. The various tasks that are involved in managing a contract are performed by different roles.
Redeploying contracts
Deployment of a contract normally occurs automatically after a contract is approved. If deployment of a contract fails, you can attempt to deploy the contract manually. Only contracts in the DeploymentFailed state can be redeployed.

  - Commerce Lab
    Accessible through a web-based interface, Commerce Lab enables users to manage all key aspects of their commerce operations, including catalogs, marketing, pricing, users, stores, customers, workspaces, sellers, and administrative functions—empowering teams with greater flexibility and control.
  - Business Tools
    Commerce+ allows you to manage various business tools such as Promotions, Catalog, Promotions, Inventory, and so on. Users accessing at least one business tool can see the Business Tools menu. The user can see tools that are accessible to the current user.
    - Search Tool
      The Search tool is accessible from the Commerce Lab. It enables several functionalities related to search, such as Search Term Associations, Search Analytics, Search Templates, and so on. It allows the admin to preview the search terms displayed on the storefront and delivers customized search results when customers search the storefront. Search analytics helps customers to understand the patterns and items users are searching.
    - Catalog Filter and Pricing tool
      Use the Catalog Filter and Pricing tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage catalog filters, price lists, and price rules. Sellers, Sales Managers, and Account Representatives can use the tool's flexible features to implement catalog filtering and pricing strategies that meet the site's business needs over time.
    - Catalogs tool overview
      Use the Catalogs tool in the Commerce Lab to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.
    - Marketing Tool
      Use the Marketing tool in the Commerce Lab to create and manage marketing campaigns and other store content, excluding catalog content. You can use the extensive precision marketing features in the tool to deliver targeted marketing messages to customers.
    - Inventory tool
      Commerce+ offers various Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs). This section explains the Commerce Lab tooling support for the Inventory.

      Use the Promotions tool in Commerce Lab to create and manage promotions that support the marketing campaigns for your site.

        Managing a business account and catalog involves tasks that create and modify business accounts and catalogs. The various tasks that are involved in managing a business account and catalogs are performed by different roles.
        Creating a business account
        To create a business account, use the Business Relationship Management tools in Commerce Lab Tools. The seller administrator creates a buyer organization by using the Organization Administration Console before a new business account can be created. Ensure that at least one person who is associated with the buyer organization is a registered customer (a contact at the buyer organization is required).
        Changing business accounts
        Use the Commerce Lab Tools to change business accounts.
        Finding business accounts
        Use the Commerce Lab Tools to find business accounts.
        Contracts
        Contracts enable a customer organization or a customer group to purchase products from a store at a specified price for a specified time under specific conditions.
        Contract states
        A contract passes various states from the time it is created until the time it is deleted. In most cases, the change of state is triggered by actions you take. Some state changes occur automatically.
        Contract referral
        A base contract is a contract that can be referred to by other contracts. For example, contract B refers to (base) contract A. Thus, a buyer who is entitled to the terms and conditions in contract B is also entitled to all the terms and conditions in contract A. Multiple customer contracts can refer to the same base contract so that all the customer contracts can share a set of terms and conditions.
        Display customization
        Through the Commerce+ you can change the look of display pages in your store for every business customer by specifying the DisplayCustomizationTC term and condition in the business account definition. This display customization can be as simple as adding a different logo, or as complex as having a custom store name and message, for each customer.
        Creating contracts
        There are two methods to create contracts in Commerce+. You can use Commerce Lab Tools to create contracts.
        Managing contracts
        Managing a contract involves tasks that take the contract from creation to the end of the contract's lifecycle. The various tasks that are involved in managing a contract are performed by different roles.
        Approving or rejecting a draft contract
        Draft contracts can be approved or rejected by approvers and administrators with appropriate access. The process for approving or rejecting a contract is the same process that is used for all approvals in Commerce+.
        Changing a contract
        Use Commerce Lab Tools to change a contract.
        Canceling contracts
        Canceling a contract permanently prevents a buyer organization from purchasing under that contract. The contract stays in the Commerce+ database for reference and can be viewed or used to create a duplicate contract. A canceled contract cannot be resumed.
        Deleting a contract
        Deleting a contract marks the contract for deletion the next time the Commerce+ database is cleared of all objects that were marked for deletion. A contract that is marked for deletion cannot be duplicated, resumed, or used to create a new version of a contract. Both account representatives and sales managers can delete contracts.
        Duplicating contracts
        Duplicating a contract creates a new draft contract with the same information of the original contract except for the name of the contract. An account representative can modify the duplicate contract and then submit the contract for approval. When the duplicate contract is deployed, both the original contract and the duplicate contract can be active.
        Exporting contracts
        Exporting a contract or service agreement removes a service agreement in XML format from the Commerce+ Server.
        Importing contracts
        Importing a contract or service agreement uploads a service agreement in XML format from your local client to the Commerce+ Server and deploys the service agreement in Commerce+.
        Redeploying contracts
        Deployment of a contract normally occurs automatically after a contract is approved. If deployment of a contract fails, you can attempt to deploy the contract manually. Only contracts in the DeploymentFailed state can be redeployed.
        Resuming suspended contracts
        When the account representative wants to allow the buyer organization to purchase under the suspended contract again, they can resume the suspended contract.
        Submitting contracts for approval
        Use Commerce Lab Tools to submit a contract for approval.
        Suspending active contracts
        Occasionally, there is a need to prevent a buyer organization from purchasing under a contract for a brief time. An account representative can suspend a contract at any time.
        Viewing contract summaries
        An account representative or sales manager can review an existing contract at any time by looking at the contract summary.
        Finding contracts
        Use Commerce Lab Tools to find contracts.
        Refreshing the contracts list
        If you change the status of items in the contracts list (such as adding or removing a contract), you might want to refresh the list.
    - Store Management
      Store management tool allows you to manage stores, taxes, shipping, and installments through the Commerce Lab.
    - Workspace Management tool
      The Workspace Management tool is a graphical user interface tool that is used to manage workspaces and workspace-related activities. It provides a single view across all workspaces and all tasks in the workspaces where managers can see how work is progressing.
  - Analytics Tool
    Commerce Lab has the Analytics tool listed in the hamburger menu.
- Administering
  The site administrator performs the tasks needed to support day to day operations of the Commerce+ site.
- Extending
  Using Commerce+'s xC programming model, you can use HCL-provided extension points to extend existing Commerce logic. You can implement these extensions with the xC Customization toolkit provided by HCL. Commerce+ also provides Packaged Business Capability integrations that extend the product's reach and functionality.

Redeploying contracts

Deployment of a contract normally occurs automatically after a contract is approved. If deployment of a contract fails, you can attempt to deploy the contract manually. Only contracts in the DeploymentFailed state can be redeployed.

Procedure

Open Commerce Lab Tools and from the left navigation menu, click Business Tools > Customer Management > Customer Accounts.
Click Accounts. The Account list page displays containing business accounts currently defined for the selected store.
From the Actions menu, click on three vertical dots. A list of actions that can be performed on the selected contract displays. Click Deploy. The selected contract gets exported.
When the deployment of the contract is completed, the Accounts page displays the updated status of the contract.
