Changing promotion folders
You can use Management Center to change the details and hierarchy of your promotion folders.
Changing
the hierarchical relationship of your folders:
- Does not change the promotions that are in your folders
- Moves all the contents of the folder with the folder
Business users cannot change promotion folders. A Site Administrator must manually change promotion folders by using by SQL statements.
Before you begin
If you are using extended sites, ensure that you understand how folders work in extended sites. For more information, see Folders in extended sites.
Procedure
- Open the Promotions tool.
- Open Management Center tools and from the left navigation menu, click .
- In the explorer view, expand Promotions.
- Locate and right-click the folder that you want to change. Click Open.
- Optional: Change the Name, Description,
or both.A subfolder cannot have the same name as another subfolder within the same parent folder.
- Optional: Remove or replace
a parent folder:
Option Description Remove Select the folder in the Parent Folder table and click Delete. If you remove the entry in this table, you change the folder from a subfolder to a top-level folder. Replace Use the utilities view or the explorer view to drag a folder into the Parent Folder table. The folder that you drag into the Parent Folder table replaces the previous folder as the parent folder. A subfolder cannot have multiple parent folders, but a folder can have multiple subfolders. - Click Save. Click Close. Ensure that your changes display for the folder.
