You can change the parent category of a catalog entry in the master catalog to a new category. For example, you can create a category that better defines the catalog entry.
- Sequencing catalog entries
If you want to change the order catalog entries are displayed on your site, you can change their display sequence. Numbers are displayed in ascending order for example, if you assign a sequence number of one, that catalog entry is shown first in the storefront.

Unassigned catalog entries, are products, SKUs, bundles or kits that do not belong to any category. When you are adding many catalog entries, you can initially put them in an unassigned category to save time, and then add them to the master catalog at a later date.

In an extended site store, you can set store-specific catalog entry descriptions for catalog entries that are inherited by your extended site store. Setting store-specific descriptions overrides the catalog asset store descriptions for these catalog entries. Overriding catalog entry descriptions provides you with the ability to customize the catalog entries that display on your storefront to better meet your business needs.

If your store is an extended sites store, you can use the Catalogs tool to set store specific catalog entry descriptive information for inherited catalog entries. By setting store-specific descriptions, you override the inherited asset store descriptions and ensure that your store-specific descriptions displays in the storefront for your catalog entries.
- Listing catalog entries in a category
You can see all of the catalog entries in a category by opening the list view. You can then make many changes to catalog entries, such as correcting a spelling error, without having to open the properties view of each entry.
