Installing maintenance
WebSphere Commerce maintenance includes installing fix packs, interim fixes (APARs), and cumulative interim fixes.
Interim fixes and cumulative interim fixes
A WebSphere Commerce interim fix (iFix) is a software patch that contains fixes for one or more APARs. A WebSphere Commerce cumulative iFix is a comprehensive collection of interim fixes for a specific release. Both types of fixes are installed with the WebSphere Commerce Update Installer (UPDI).
Additional steps for search-related interim fixes
Some interim fixes include changes to search indexes, search directory templates, or WebSphere Commerce search configuration files. After you install the fix, you might need to complete additional steps to enable the fix on your environment.

About this task

After you install this APAR, include the following elements in the WCDE_installdir/workspace/WC/xml/config/com.ibm.commerce.catalog-ext/wc-search.xml file on the WebSphere Commerce Developer environment. This helps the command to build index through command line for the Rating core:

Procedure

If the subtype is Rating and it is locale sensitive, change the core configuration as the following:

        <_config:core catalog="10001" indexName="CatalogEntry"
            language="en_US" name="MC_10001_CatalogEntry_en_US"
            path="/MC_10001/en_US/CatalogEntry" serverName="AdvancedConfiguration_1">
                <_config:param name="indexSubType" value="Rating"/>
        </_config:core>

Start or restart the WebSphere Commerce Developer server.
