Converting hijacked files to checkouts
You must convert hijacked files to checked-out files before you can check them in.
Procedure
To convert one or more hijacked files to checked-out
files:

Select the hijacked files that you want to convert.
Use the VersionVault Navigator, VersionVault Details view, VersionVault Search Results view, or the VersionVault Version Tree view. If you are working in the Eclipse environment, use any Eclipse view that supports the Team context menu.

To open the Controls in the checkout dialog box dialog box, click the
icon on the VersionVault toolbar, or take either of
the following actions:
- Select Check Out from the context menu in the VersionVault Navigator.
- In the Eclipse environment, select Check Out from the Team context menu.
- In the VersionVault Version Tree view, right-click the hijacked version and select Check Out.
- Specify how to handle the contents of each hijacked file:
- Select Use hijack contents to preserve the contents of the hijacked file as a checked-out version.
- Select Replace hijack contents to overwrite the hijacked file with the selected version from the VOB.
- Click Apply.
- If there are any HCL VersionVault triggers associated with this operation, you may be prompted to supply additional information or take further action.
Results
The selected files are checked out. If resource decorations
have been enabled, checked-out files are decorated with the 
icon.
