You can create, edit, and remove ACL policies and rolemaps using the VersionVault
Explorer.
Before you begin
You must be connected to the VOB server (in the case of a dynamic view) or the VersionVault WAN
server (if you are using a web view or automatic view) to work
with ACLs policies.
About this task
If access control list (ACL) authorization is enabled, the identities and protection modes
for some object types are administered through policies, which define permissions for roles; and
rolemaps, which map the roles to principals. You administer policies and rolemaps in VersionVault
Explorer by using the ACLs features that appear under the
VOB node in the VersionVault Navigator.
Procedure
To work with ACLs in the VersionVault
Explorer:
-
In the VersionVault Navigator view, locate the VOB where you
want to work with access control lists.
- Click the plus sign (+) next to the VOB name to expand
the node.
- Click ACLs.
Click
on Policies if you want to create, edit, or
remove a policy. Click on Rolemaps if you want to create, edit, or
remove a rolemap.
