Unmounting VOBs

When using dynamic views, you may want to unmount (or deactivate) a VOB.

About this task

When using dynamic views, unmounting a VOB frees resources on your computer. Unmount VOBs when you no longer need to use them or if you need to reclaim system resources. When you unmount a VOB, the view-private files in the VOB namespace are inaccessible until you reactivate it by mounting it.

Procedure

To unmount a VOB, Select the VOB in the VersionVault Navigator and right-click.
Select Unmount VOB from the context menu.
The Unmount VOB information message box shows the status of the process and offers you the option of running the process in the background.
