        When you choose to work disconnected, actions that require a server connection are disabled and you are not prompted to connect when you attempt to perform them. You can work disconnected from a VOB server (in the case of a snapshot view) or from the VersionVault WAN server (in the cases of a web view or automatic view).

Updating a resource in a VersionVault view

Update a resource in a VersionVault web view, automatic view, or snapshot view to load the version selected by the view's config spec.

Procedure

Select the resources you want to update.
Note: Updating a directory updates the directory and all of the files and subdirectories it contains.
To open the Update Resource dialog box, click the icon on the VersionVault toolbar, or take either of the following actions:
- Select Refresh > Update from Repository from the VersionVault menu.
- Select Refresh > Update from Repository from the context menu in the VersionVault Navigator or VersionVault Details view.
Specify how you want the update to deal with hijacked files it finds during the update.
Optional: If you want to preview the update to see which resources will be updated, select Preview only. Do not load or update any resources.
Click Apply to start the update or preview.

Results

The list of updated resources is displayed on the Results tab of the VersionVault View Configuration tool.
