Use the VersionVault Navigator and the VersionVault Details views to explore VersionVault metadata in base VersionVault (non-UCM project) VOBs.
About this task
The VersionVault Navigator and the VersionVault Details views display branch types and label types in
base VersionVault VOBs. Using these views, you can
also perform VersionVault operations on the
metadata, such as creating label and branch types, and applying labels to VersionVault resources.
Procedure
To explore VersionVault
metadata:

Click .
If the VersionVault Navigator is not in the list, click and then select the VersionVault Navigator.
The VersionVault Navigator opens.

If using a Web view, click the plus sign (+) to the left of the VersionVault node that is followed by the name of the server
that you want to explore.
If using a Dynamic view, click the plus sign (+) to the left of the VersionVault Local node or click the plus sign (+) to the
left of the Dynamic view name. At any time, you can also click any object in the VersionVault Navigator and open the VersionVault Details view.
The node expands and displays the VOBs known to the server.

In the VersionVault Navigator, click the plus sign (+) to the
left of a base VersionVault VOB () to explore the metadata.

Click the Branch Types or Label Types folder.
The branch types or label types defined in the selected VOB are displayed in the
VersionVault Details view.
Results
While exploring a base VersionVault VOB with
the VersionVault Navigator view, you can right-click the
Branch Types or Label Types folders to create new
branch and label types. In the VersionVault Details view, you
can right-click a label type and select Apply Label from the context menu to
apply the label to multiple HCL
VersionVault
resources.
