Removing label types

Use the Remove Label Type option in the VersionVault Details view to delete label types.

Before you begin

If you are using a Web view or automatic view, you must connect to the VersionVault WAN server to remove a label type.

Note: When you remove a label type, any instances of that label are removed from the resources to which they were applied..

Procedure

To remove a label type:
  1. In the VersionVault Navigator, move to the VOB that contains the label type that you want to remove.
  2. Click the (+) next to the VOB name to expand the VOB node.
    The Label Types node is displayed.
  3. Click the Label Types node and available label types appear in the VersionVault Details view.
  4. Right-click the label type that you want to delete and select Remove Label Type from the context menu. Note that you can select multiple label types.

Results

The label type and all existing labels of that type are removed.
