Creating branch types

Use the Create Branch Type option in the VersionVault Navigator view to create branch types.

Before you begin

You cannot create a branch while disconnected from the VOB server (snapshot view) or VersionVault WAN server (automatic or web views).

Procedure

To create a branch type:
  1. In the VersionVault Navigator, move to the VOB where you want to create the new branch type.
  2. Click the (+) next to the VOB name to expand the VOB node.
    The Branch Types node is displayed.
  3. Right-click the Branch Types node and select Create Branch Type from the context menu.

Results

The Create branch type dialog box appears. Use this dialog box to create the new branch type.
