Using File Browser

Using File Browser

The File Browser is the primary DevOps Code ClearCase® graphical interface utility. The File Browser is a standard X Window System application that adheres to the mouse and keyboard conventions.

From the File Browser, you can operate on DevOps Code ClearCase elements and file-system objects and start other browsers (for example, the Branch Type Browser and the Label Type Browser) that operate on type objects. You can issue most ClearCase commands through these tools. (You can issue every DevOps Code ClearCase command through the command line.)

Use File Browser as the base for all DevOps Code ClearCase graphic user interface operations. Establish a context within a DevOps Code ClearCase view and launch other DevOps Code ClearCase applications in that context.
