It provides easy-to-use tools for business users to centrally manage a cross-channel strategy. IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is a suite of tools to support store management, merchandising, and marketing tasks for business users (Sellers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Catalog Managers, and others).
Catalogs tool
Use the Catalogs tool in Management Center to manage catalogs, categories, catalog entries, merchandising associations, product attributes, and attachments in your store. The Catalogs tool lets business users create, and manage online catalogs. Catalogs provide a way of organizing the products that you want to sell. You define catalog data in groups of categories and products. Catalog data contains descriptions and pricing information for products and services.
Managing SKUs
The Product Manager is responsible for determining the best way to display, price, and sell products in the online store.
Deleting SKUs
When you delete a SKU, all associated attribute values for that SKU are also deleted. If there is a pending transaction against a product SKU marked for deletion, the SKU is not deleted from the system until the pending transaction is resolved.

        Product-level SKUs
        Once you have created your product, you must create SKUs to represent each orderable item of merchandise for sale. All SKUs related to a particular product exhibit the same set of attributes and are distinguished by their defining attribute values. For example, men's shirts could have the attribute of color and size, and each SKU would have its own color and size, such as men's small red shirt.
        Category-level SKUs
        You can create SKUs under a category that are not associated with any product. This type of SKU is created for products that do not have defining attributes. For example, if you are selling a DVD, you do not need the association to a product in the same way you might with a man's dress shirt.
        Creating SKUs
        You can create category-level SKUs, or if you have products, you can create product-level SKUs for that product. After you create SKUs, you can then sell the items in your store.
        Generating product-level SKUs
        Instead of creating SKUs manually, generate multiple SKUs for a product. The generated SKUs are based on all the possible combinations of the defining attributes of a product. If there are no defining attributes for the product, the SKU generation creates a single SKU.
        Changing SKUs
        You can change a SKU if there are changes to the product sold to you by a manufacturer.
        Deleting SKUs

        A catalog asset is a managed file, URL, or attachment that is associated to a category or catalog entry. For example, a product image or a PDF document. The usage type of the catalog asset determines the store page on which the asset is displayed, and the location on the page.

        The Product Manager is responsible for creating and managing search term associations. Search term associations include synonyms and search term replacements, and linking search terms with landing pages.

Deleting SKUs

When you delete a SKU, all associated attribute values for that SKU are also deleted. If there is a pending transaction against a product SKU marked for deletion, the SKU is not deleted from the system until the pending transaction is resolved.

Procedure

Open the Catalogs tool.
From the explorer tree, select a catalog.
Find the SKU you want to delete.
In the explorer tree or list view, right-click the SKU; then click Delete.
A confirmation dialog displays. Product SKUs are not visible in the explorer tree only in the list. Category SKUs are visible in the explorer tree.
Click Yes.
The selected SKU is removed.
