Adding shipping instructions

You can add special instructions for shipping an item in an order or quote:

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IBM Sales Center.
  2. Select a store.
  3. Create or find the order or quote for which you want to add shipping instructions.
  4. If this is an order and it has already been submitted, click Edit.
  5. If this is a quote and it has already been completed, create a new quote from it.
  6. Go to the Order Items or Quote Items page.
  7. For each item for which you want to add shipping instructions:
    1. Select the item.
    2. Click in the Shipping Carrier field, then click the Add Shipping Instructions icon (Add Shipping Instructions icon).
    3. On the Shipping Instructions page, perform the following actions for each shipment for which you want to add instructions:
      1. Select the shipment in the Shipment table.
      2. Click Carrier Account to open a page that you can use to enter a carrier-account type and account number for the Shipping Carrier.
      3. Enter the special instructions in the Instructions field.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Modify the information in the remaining item-detail fields as necessary.
  8. Click the Apply button to apply your changes before clicking on the Payment page.
  9. Modify the payment information as necessary.
  10. Click Submit or Complete Quote.
