The Remote Control Web Controller interface in the Lite Web Portal lets you start and manage Remote Control sessions from a supported browser without installing the standard Remote Control Controller application.
- Remote Control Web Controller interface
- The Remote Control Web Controller interface is available from Lite Web Portal and allows users to start and manage remote control sessions directly from a supported web browser. It provides browser-based access to remote targets without requiring the standard Remote Control Controller application to be installed.
The Remote Control Web Controller interface can be used to:
- View the remote target desktop
- Send keyboard and mouse input
- Monitor session activity
The Remote Control Web Controller interface uses the Remote Control Web Session Manager service to establish and maintain browser-based Remote Control sessions.
Limitations
- The Remote Control Web Controller interface is supported only on the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Some advanced features that are available in the standard Remote Control Controller application might not be available in the browser-based interface.
- Browser-based sessions require that the Remote Control Web Session Manager service is enabled on at least one broker in the customer infrastructure.
- The Web Controller interface works only with targets and unattended targets when the "High Quality Colors" policy for managed and unregistered targets is set to Yes, which is the default value.
- For secure browser connections, the hostname that is specified in the Broker list and in the URL that is used to access the Web Session Manager must match the certificate common name (CN). If the certificate name does not match the Broker list hostname or the URL, the browser might block the connection.
