All applications
The Applications page lists all applications in your organization that are within the asset groups to which you are assigned. From the Applications page, you can create new applications and open individual application pages.

Welcome to the documentation for HCL AppScan on Cloud, where you can find information about how to install, maintain, and use this service.
Navigation
This section describes the items on the main AppScan on Cloud menu bar, with links to more detailed information.
- Home
  The Home page shows your associated asset groups and applications, as well as recent applications and scans in your organization that are within the asset groups to which you are assigned. From the Home page, you can select one of your latest applications or scans, or view all applications and all scans on the Applications page and the Scans and sessions page, respectively. The What's New section lists recent updates to ASoC.
- All applications
  The Applications page lists all applications in your organization that are within the asset groups to which you are assigned. From the Applications page, you can create new applications and open individual application pages.
  - Single application view
    This view collects the data for a specific application (project), and offers quick navigation for performing common application tasks.
  - Application attributes
    Application attributes are the properties of the application, and appear as column headers in Applications view.
- Scans and sessions
  This view lists all scans and sessions in all your applications.
- Open source libraries
  Search for, review, and take action on open source libraries associated with applications.
- Dashboard
  The main dashboard is the fourth item on the main menu bar. It gives you a detailed overview of active issues, MTTR issues, applications, and scans along with graphs and charts that display the overall state of your applications.
- Organization
  Organization is your go-to hub for managing policies, domains, settings, subscriptions, and audit trails – it's where you control and organize it all.
Administration
Define users, applications, policies, and configure DevOps integrations.
Dynamic analysis
AppScan on Cloud performs security scans for web-applications for production, staging and development environments. For development environments it is aided by Private Site Scanning technology to scan applications not accessible to the open Internet.
Interactive monitoring
Using an agent installed on your application, ASoC identifies security vulnerabilities in your application during runtime by monitoring all interactions, both legitimate and malicious. The process is "passive," in the sense that IAST does not send its own tests, and can therefore run indefinitely.
Software Composition Analysis
Use Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to scan for security vulnerabilities in open source and third-party packages used by your code. SCA includes Intelligent Finding Analytics (IFA) and Intelligent Code Analytics (ICA).
Static analysis
Use static analysis (SAST) to scan for security vulnerabilities in web and desktop applications. Static analysis includes Intelligent Finding Analytics (IFA) and Intelligent Code Analytics (ICA).
Results
The Scans and Sessions page lists the scans under the categories DAST, SAST, SCA, and IAST, where you can view your scan results, including scan statistics. All applications

The Applications page lists all applications in your organization that are within the asset groups to which you are assigned. From the Applications page, you can create new applications and open individual application pages.

An ASoC application is a collection of scans related to the same project. It can be a website, a desktop application, a mobile app, a web service, or any component of an application. Applications enable you to assess risk, identify trends, and make sure that your project is compliant with industry and organization policies.

Tip: If there are no applications on this page, you must create one before you can run any scans.

All applications page options


Option	Description
Create a new application	See Creating, editing, and deleting applications.
Filters	To filter the list of applications, click Filters, select the applicable filters and then click Apply. To remove all applied filters, click Clear all.
Columns	By default, the columns show risk rating, application name, and a few other application attributes. You can: Choose from more attributes by clicking the column drop-down list. Remove columns by clearing check boxes. Drag-and-drop column headers to change the order of the columns shown. Click a column header to order entries.
Import	Import applications from a CSV file using the AppScan-structured format. The field headings and values in the CSV must be valid for AppScan applications. Select the asset group to associate with the applications, and click Import. You can download the sample CSV file to see the required structure and format.
Export	Export application details to CSV or JSON. The export includes all columns, regardless of the columns that are currently visible.
	Click this icon at the end of any row to edit that specific application's attributes: name, business impact, asset group, and more. See Application attributes.
