Create a GitView
About this task
GitView creation is performed through the GitView web interface.
Procedure
- After installation, sign in to the GitView web interface using the credentials available on the backend GitView server.
- The main page displays a list of existing GitViews and provides an option to create a new GitView.
- Click New GitView in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Enter a GitView tag and select a valid ClearCase UCM project from the drop-down list.

Choose one of the following options:
- If Auto load rules is selected: Creates the GitView using all components in the selected UCM project.
- If Auto load rules is deselected: Displays a text box where a ClearCase config spec can be defined for finer control.
- Click Create to create the GitView.
Results
The GitView is created. You can select it from the main page to view detailed information.
