Installing and using z/OS® Extensions
z/OS® Extensions is a component of IBM® Rational® ClearCase® that enables mainframe users to perform select DevOps Code ClearCase operations. z/OS Extensions include Remote Build, TSO Client, and ClearCase RAM (CCRAM).

Use the TSO Client feature to perform DevOps Code ClearCase® operations on the distributed system without leaving the mainframe system environment.
Setting up your TSO Client environment
Before you use TSO Client, customize your environment by performing these tasks.
Configuring the TSO Client environment
Your environment definition defines user-specific values for a particular software development project. For example, the host name, port number, and whether the project uses Unified Change Management (UCM) are values that you must set for the development environment. To use the client component of TSO Client, set up at least one environment definition.

        Make sure the distributed system where the TSO Client server is executing is properly identified and the TCP/IP configuration supports the hostname specified. The TCP/IP configuration must support the resolution of the hostname in both directions: system name to IP address and IP address to system name.

Changing a profile

About this task

If you change a profile, you must reload it if you want the change to take effect in the same login session. Do this by selecting the updated profile. See Selecting a profile.
